jobless no more!
I HAVE A JOB...isn't that wonderful? I am working as a receptionist at a psychology clinic...so I will still get to use some of my counselling skills to help look after the clients. I am very excited!! The staff are wonderful and my interview was initially over the phone and then they called me in and it went from there.
So far it is going well...two nights a week and every other saturday. I have also been offered another job during the day, school hours, at a gorgeous homeware/gift shop that I am going to do. This will certainly satisfy my creative side and passion for homewares... Both are casual/part time but fit in perfectly with what I need at this time.
Oh my gosh I cannot tell you what it has done for me...the next step in moving on with my life. Both of these jobs were basically handed to me on a platter, I am sooo grateful! They both allow me to still take Coco to school and pick her up most days and I have wonderful support from friends at school to help out if something happens that her dad can't get her.
I cannot tell you how well God has looked after me. Even when I have been struggling with my faith or doubting...He has been faithful to me! Not because of who I am but because of who He is. My circumstances may change, but He stays the same. He cannot help but love and in the midst of all of this, I see His love and compassion for me. I do believe He is catching my tears as they fall...and there have been many.
Nothing else has changed but I am coping...I have my moments and am sure there are more to come. I think the loneliness is the worst feeling of all...it gnaws away at the pit of my stomach and latches onto my heart...squeezing it so hard. But in that, there is also letting go...and that brings freedom.
In other news...Coco and I had a lovely time in Bilpin. Just beautiful! These are a some of the photos to show you what it was like. It was freezing!!! Gumboots were provided and we had fun sloshing around in the mud and looking at the ducks and chickens and visiting the beautiful Mt Tomah botanical gardens.
our cottage...outside above and inside below...very warm and cosy!
the main house
Coco also had her 11th birthday and we had a Karaoke Disco party...it was so much fun and she loved it and so did all her friends. We boogied the night away and enjoyed every minute of it.
the delicious cake...made by yours truly!
Life is certainly a roller coaster ride but I am hanging on through the downs and letting go and enjoying the highs...I hope you are all well and look forward to catching up soon!
Take care, love Nel xo
